Job Description:

Engagement: 1099 contractor. Per-episode + download-share. Location: Remote.

A note from the founder

A podcast is not an audio file. It is a relationship engine.

The Wilkinson Firm is positioned to host the conversations the workforce industry is not having. CMHCs, hotels, federal contractors, MBE founders, behavioral health operators, hospitality strategy executives - the buyer set we serve is the guest set we want on air.

We need a producer who can run the full operation: guest sourcing, prep briefs, recording coordination, audio polish, episode publishing, distribution, and show-notes craft.

This is a performance role with a clear climb. Lower starter rates. Real upside as the show scales.

What you would do

  • Source and book guests aligned with TWF's three divisions (HR Advisory, PHES, GovCon)
  • Pre-interview prep briefs for the founder before each recording
  • Coordinate recording logistics, post-production, audio polish
  • Write show notes, episode descriptions, time-stamped chapters
  • Manage publishing across Spotify, Apple, YouTube, and embedded distribution
  • Coordinate clipping (work alongside Podcast Clipper)
  • Track downloads, retention, sponsorship pipeline

Compensation - Climbing Ladder

Stage 1 (first 90 days, mission-aligned starter rate):

  • $100 per published episode
  • $1 per 100 downloads above 250 baseline

Stage 2 (after 10 published episodes + sustained download growth):

  • $200 per published episode
  • $1 per 100 downloads above 250
  • Sponsorship attribution % when sponsors close

Stage 3 (after 25 episodes + scale gate):

  • $400 per published episode
  • $1 per 100 downloads
  • 10% of sponsorship revenue
  • Senior advisor track opens

Who we want

  • 2-5 years producing a B2B or industry podcast
  • Familiar with Riverside, Descript, Squadcast, or equivalent
  • Strong guest-sourcing instinct, network in our verticals a plus
  • Clean audio editing capability
  • Distribution-savvy across major platforms
  • Writing fluency for show notes and descriptions

Bonus: Existing relationships with workforce, behavioral health, hospitality, or government services thought leaders.

Who we are not for

  • Producers who only handle technical operations (we need creative + strategic too)
  • Anyone who has never published a podcast that grew measurably
  • Generalist content marketers without podcast-specific experience
