Job Description:

Engagement: 1099 contractor. Retainer + revenue share climb. Location: Remote.

A note from the founder

YouTube is the second-largest search engine and the most underbuilt asset for workforce strategy firms.

The Wilkinson Firm has the founder voice, the operator content, and the buyer relevance to build a real channel. We have not built one yet. That is what this seat changes.

We need a YouTube channel manager who can run the operation: thumbnail design, SEO-optimized titles and descriptions, retention-optimized edits, posting cadence, analytics tracking, and the path from view to inbound conversation.

This is a performance role with a clear climb. Modest retainer at start. Real revenue share as the channel monetizes.

What you would do

  • Channel strategy and content roadmap for the TWF YouTube presence
  • Thumbnail design and A/B testing
  • Title and description SEO optimization
  • Coordinate with Podcast Producer and Clipper on long-form vs short-form distribution
  • Manage posting cadence (target 2 long-form + 5 Shorts per week)
  • Analytics tracking, retention curve diagnosis
  • Comment management and community engagement
  • AdSense optimization once monetization unlocks
  • Sponsorship pipeline development

Compensation - Climbing Ladder

Stage 1 (first 90 days, mission-aligned starter rate):

  • $200/month retainer for ~8 hrs work
  • Future revenue share activates at channel growth gate

Stage 2 (channel reaches 1,000 subs + 4,000 watch hours - monetization eligible):

  • $500/month retainer
  • 25% of AdSense revenue
  • 20% of sponsorship revenue you source

Stage 3 (channel reaches 10,000 subs + sustained growth):

  • $500/month retainer OR $750-1,500/month (whichever is higher) based on hours scope
  • 40% of AdSense revenue
  • 30% of sponsorship revenue you source
  • Senior advisor track conversation opens
  • Equity participation discussion

Who we want

  • 2-7 years managing a YouTube channel (yours or someone else's)
  • Channel grew measurably under your management
  • Thumbnail design fluency (Photoshop, Canva, Figma)
  • YouTube SEO knowledge - tags, descriptions, watch-time optimization
  • Analytics fluency - retention curves, CTR, audience insights
  • Comfortable with editor coordination

Bonus: Channel you grew in B2B services, professional content, education, or similar.

Who we are not for

  • Generalist social media managers without YouTube-specific traction
  • Anyone whose only experience is uploading videos without channel strategy
  • Channels you "managed" but cannot show measurable growth
